Meet the Team

We are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

Treatment Coordinator

Jean has been the Treatment Coordinator for Dr. O'Leary since 1992. Jean graduated from the Northeastern/Tufts University dental assistant program. She has been in the orthodontic field for over 30 years. When you come into the office for the first time, you'll meet her. Jean is the liaison between the patients and the practice. She meets with new patients with Dr. O'Leary and assists with treatment information, financial concerns, and scheduling appointments to start treatment. Jean comes from Boston and has been a 15 year resident of Charlotte County.

Business Manager

Darcy has been Dr. O'Leary's Business Manager since 2000. Darcy does a lot of our "behind the scenes" work. She is involved with a lot of our marketing projects. Darcy also enjoys creating fun and interesting things to do in our office for our patients and staff. By the way, if you have any great ideas just let her know! Darcy has lived in Florida since 1984. She comes from Lockport, NY. Darcy has 3 grown children and is hoping for some grandchildren! When she gets a chance to relax, she enjoys spending time with her family and scrapbooking. With 12 years of medical experience, we are lucky to have her in our practice!

Sterilization Technician

As the sterilization technician, Leonie is in charge of maintenance and sterilization of all the instruments used in our practice. Leonie orders all our supplies and keeps the clinic organized. She makes sure that our practice meets and maintains all OSHA requirements. Leonie also puts together those goodie bags for all our patients who get their braces off. Leonie comes from Waretown New Jersey. She and her husband moved to Florida in 1995. They have 6 children and 9 grandchildren. When she has time to relax, Leonie likes to go boating in the Gulf, gardening, or riding her bike. Lee has been with us for 6 years.

Lab Technician

Larry has been with Dr. O'Leary since 2001. He has nearly 30 years experience in constructing all appliances. Larry makes the retainers and expansion appliances, etc. He also assists Dr. O'Leary in repairing equipment and overall facility maintenance. Larry is originally from Michigan. He and his wife Kathy are real biker enthusiasts. When they are not working they are out on the road riding their Harleys.

Records Coordinator

Maria joined Dr. O'Leary's team in 2001. Maria graduated from Career Dental Institute in Connecticut and has been in the field of Orthodontics since 1996. It's her job to supply Dr. O'Leary with the x-rays, photos, and study models needed to diagnose our patient's treatment. Maria was born in Portugal and moved to Connecticut when she was 11. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Rick, for 36 years. They have one grandson. Maria enjoys eating and walking, not necessarily in that order!

Clinic Supervisor

Debie has been in the dental field over 26 years with experience in orthodontics, periodontics and general dentistry. Debie has been with Dr. O'Leary's team since 2003. Debie found her way to Florida from Plano, Texas, a suburb of north Dallas. She and her husband, Rob, have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Debie loves to cook in her spare time. When she is not cooking she loves to garden.

Scheduling Coordinator

Sandi came to work part time for Dr. O'Leary in 2003. You will see her in the afternoons at the front desk when entering our office. Sandi will assist you in making or changing appointments. She and her husband moved here from Rochester area of NY in 1998. They have been married over 40 years and have 4 children and 10 grandchildren. She and her husband met while they were serving in the Air Force. Two of their children followed in their parents' footsteps and have joined the military, with their son making it his career. Sandi is originally from Boston, Mass and still considers Boston her home town!

Clinic Assistant

Janel joined Dr. O'Leary's team in 2006. Originally from New Jersey, she has lived in Florida since 1991. Janel has been in the dental field since 2000 and has been an orthodontic assistant since 2004. When Janel has free time she likes to go boating, to the beach, or just relax.

Clinic Assistant

Lori has been in the dental field over 25 years with experience in orthodontics, implant & general dentistry. She joined Dr. O'Leary's team in 2006. Lori and her family moved to Punta Gorda from Tallahassee. Lori loves to ride her horse, Keeper, any time she can and is an avid Miami Hurricane fan!

Becky joined Dr. O'Leary's in 2006 as a clinic assistant, marking the beginning of her dental career.  She and her husband have lived in Port Charlotte since 1996.  The have three great children and own a water purification business.
Becky and her kids have all had Orthodontic treatment, so she can relate to your experience as a patient and as a parent of a child with braces.

Terry Benton
Financial Coordinator

After returning to Florida from a move to South Carolina, Terry is joining us again as Financial Coordinator. She will guide you through financing and assist you with insurance. Terry is thrilled to be back with Dr. O'Leary's team. She and her husband, Lee, have a combined family of 6 children and 9 grandchildren, which include two sets of twins. Terry is originally from Massachusetts. In her spare time she is a Wedding officiant and notary.

Scheduling Coordinator

Eileen is the scheduling coordinator, meeting and greeting you at the front desk. Eileen comes to Dr. O'Leary's office with over seven years experience in the orthodontic field. Eileen graduated from Hodges University with a business background. She moved to Florida in 1994 from Maine. Some of Eileen's favorite pastimes are baking and exercising.
